Four-star shooting guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker has committed to Virginia Tech, he tweeted Thursday.

Alexander-Walker is ranked as the No. 74 overall player and the 18th-best shooting guard in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com. Originally from Toronto, Alexander-Walker chose the Hokies over Maryland and USC, the two schools he had taken official visits to along with Virginia Tech.

He also holds offers from Auburn, Cincinnati and Baylor.

Alexander-Walker spent this past season playing for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, leading the Chattanooga-based high school to a 27–3 record.
