Syracuse will spend $105 million on a permanent roof for the Carrier Dome, reportsThe Daily Orange’s Justin Mattingly.

Syracuse spokesman Kevin Quinn said there is no specific timeline for the replacement of the roof.

The university will also make other improvements to the Dome, which will amount to an additional $100 million, as well as a $50 million renovation project for Archbold Gymnasium.

Mattingly reports that the total cost of the renovations will be nearly $255 million.

“The Campus Framework will allow the University to better meet the needs and expectations of today’s college students and provide an unrivaled collegiate experience,” chairman of the Syracuse University Board of Trustees Steven Barnes said in a statement. “The Board is eager to gain additional feedback from students, faculty and staff to help us refine and finalize these projects. We look forward to continuing this important conversation.”
