Jay Wright wishes underclassmen could hire agents for NBA decision

Villanova head coach Jay Wright would like for the rules to change so that underclassmen can retain agents as they determine whether or not they would like to stay in the NBA draft, ESPN's Andy Katz reports.
“One of the things we've learned through this process is that [the player] needs an agent to handle the process,” Wright said.
Underclassmen have until May 25 to decide whether or not they would like to withdraw from the NBA draft and return to school. They are eligible to return as long as they have not hired an agent. Underclassmen without an agent were invited to attend last week's NBA draft combine and schedule workouts with teams.
At the moment, underclassmen can consult with agents but not accept money if they want to retain their eligibility.
Villanova guard Josh Hart is weighing his options as a junior. Wright wishes Hart was able to hire an agent that would assist in the decision-making process and if he decides to go back to Villanova, he would have an agent for after his eligibility runs out.

Villanova seniors Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu will graduate from this year's national championship team.
The Wildcats look to become the first team to win back-to-back national titles for the first time since the Florida Gators in 2006-07.
