Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn has signed a contract extension with the team through 2020, reports AL.com’s James Crepea.
The university announced the news Monday.
With the extension, Malzahn is set to make $4.725 million each season through 2020, which is up from the $4.35 million he was expected to earn under his old deal.
“He’s a brilliant offensive mind,” Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said last week. “Took us to two national championships; once as a coordinator, once as a head coach. There’s a bunch of schools in this league that would love to be in our position with a guy like him.”
