Four-star wide receiver Tyrell Shavers has committed to Alabama, he announced Monday on Twitter.

“I would like to thank all the coaches for giving me the opportunity to come and play football and attend their University,” Shavers wrote. “After talking with my family and coaches I am closing down my recruitment and committing to The University of Alabama.”

According to Scout.com, Shavers is No. 16 wideout in the class of 2017. The Texas native ran a 4.38 40-yard dash during the spring evaluation period, raising his stock among recruiters. He reportedly chose the Crimson Tide over offers from LSU and Texas A&M, among others.
