Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said Friday he will not attend any satellite camps this off-season.

Fisher made the comments after closing his own camp for high school prospects at FSU.

“We satellite right here in Tallahassee,” Fisher said, per ESPN.

Satellite camps became the NCAA issue du jour this off-season, when the SEC and ACC protested their use, largely because of the aggressive tactics of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. The camps were briefly banned earlier this year, but the NCAA rescinded that decision originally made by the Division I Council.

The SEC and ACC, who previously self-imposed a prohibition on the practice, allowed their coaches to attend satellite camps after the ban was lifted. But Fisher, along with ACC colleague Dabo Swinney, has decided not to take part.

Without the camps, Fisher has still found success in Tallahassee. The coach is 68–14 in six seasons with the Seminoles, including a national championship win in 2013.
