Ex-Oklahoma RB Alex Ross transfers to Missouri

Former Oklahoma kick returner and running back Alex Ross has transferred to Missouri, the university announced.

As a graduate transfer, he is eligible to play next season.

Ross played in 36 games for the Sooners and was used mainly as a kickoff returner. He averaged 31.2 yards per return and scored two touchdowns as a sophomore. Last season, he averaged 21.5 yards per kickoff return, including a 90-yard return against Oklahoma State. In his career with the Sooners, he collected 786 yards and five touchdown as a running back.

Missouri is coming off a season in which it went 5–7 in Gary Pinkel's final year as head coach. The team will be led by former defensive coordinator Barry Odom next season.
