Five-star center Jeremiah Tilmon commits to Illinois

Five-star center Jeremiah Tilmon has committed to Illinois, he announced Monday.
Tilmon is ranked No. 19 overall in the class of 2017 by Scout. He chose Illinois over offers from Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina and Texas.
“I’m going to Illinois and the reason I’m going there is because they’ve been recruiting me for a while, since eighth grade, and I take pride in loyalty,” Tilmon said. “I feel like the coaches trust me and I think they can get me where I want to be.”
Illinois now has three recruits in its 2017 class, with Tilmon joining four-star guard DaMonte Williams and three-star forward Javon Pickett.
The Fighting Illini currently have the No. 3 ranked class in the country.
