Stanford tops Pac-12 preseason media poll

Stanford tops the Pac-12 conference football media preseason poll after last year's Rose Bowl win.

Stanford has been voted the preseason favorite to win the 2016 Pac-12 Conference football title or the first time in the 56-year history of the media’s conference preseason poll.

The Cardinal received 28 of 33 first-place votes for the North Division. UCLA topped the South Division with 19 first-place votes. Washington and Oregon received other first place votes in the North as USC and Utah trailed UCLA in the South.

Stanford finished last season with the No. 3 ranking in the coaches' poll, which is the highest in the school's history. They finished last season 12–2 with a win in the Rose Bowl over Iowa.
