Four-star safety recruit Bubba Bolden announced he has decommitted from USC.

Bolden, a Las Vegas native, tweeted his choice on Thursday night. Scout.com rates Bolden as the second-best safety in the West region and the 12th best in the 2017 recruiting class.

"I felt like I rushed my commitment to USC the first time around," Bolden told Scout. "That was my dream school and where I wanted to go since I was a kid so I committed before really even checking out all my options. I want to go through the process and make sure the school I pick is the best fit for me and not just the school I grew up rooting for. I want to take my time this time around and be sure I'm comfortable with the school and how I'll fit in there."

He added that he plans to look at USC as he makes a final decision. He plans to visit Arizona State, Colorado and UCLA. His primary recruiter leading up to his USC commitment was Keith Heyward, now on staff at Louisville.
