Ohio State has dismissed running back Bri'onte Dunn from the team, the school announced Monday.

Dunn was kicked out of the football program for a violation of team rules.

Dunn, who would have been in his fifth year with the Buckeyes this season, is a former five-star recruit. He played in 26 games for Ohio State in his career, recording 49 carries for 291 yards and three touchdowns. Dunn also often played special teams.

Without Dunn, the Buckeyes have two scholarship players at running back. Redshirt freshman Mike Weber is expected to be the starter by the start of the regular season.
