Regression is inevitable in college football. Teams can’t stay at their best forever. Sometimes it’s because of a difficult schedule. Other times, critical players from previous years’ successes are gone, and the replacements just quite aren’t at the same level. And some years, it’s simply bad luck. Regardless of the reason, the reality is not every season can be destined for greatness.
