TCU coach Gary Patterson has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him in Fort Worth through 2022, the school announced Tuesday.

"It's obviously a great day for our Horned Frogs family when coach Patterson reiterates that TCU and Fort Worth are his home," athletic director Chris Del Conte said in the news release.

Patterson is the winningest coach in TCU history, posting a 143–47 record since being hired in 2000.

He is currently the third-longest tenured coach in the FBS, behind Kirk Ferentz of Iowa and Bob Stoops of Oklahoma, and will entire his 20th season with TCU in 2022.

Patterson led TCU during its transition from the Mountain West to the Big 12, and has turned the Horned Frogs into a national power.

Over the last two seasons, TCU has tallied a 23–3 record and consecutive top-10 final rankings.
