West Virginia offensive lineman Adam Pankey was arrested Sunday morning on DUI charges, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail.

According to police, Pankey’s car was found flipped over by the side of the road with the fifth-year senior still inside. He only suffered minor injuries and was immediately taken to custody and charged. Pankey was ultimately released on bond.

“I have been made aware of the situation and am gathering the facts at this time,” WVU coach Dana Holgorsen said in a statement. “When all the facts are in, I will take appropriate action.”

Pankey is expected to be West Virginia's starting left guard after topping the depth chart throughout camp. He has started 25 games on the offensive line over the last two seasons.
