Four-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon has decommitted from Michigan, he announced Monday.

Solomon is currently set to enter his senior year of high school at Lee County in Georgia.

The defensive tackle, ranked No. 8 at his position and No. 129 overall per Scout.com, initially committed to the Wolverines and coach Jim Harbaugh along with teammate safety Otis Reese in June. Solomon decommitted from Michigan after he says his mom received a letter from the team that misspelled his name and thanked him for attending an event he was not at.

“A day or two ago, they sent my mom a card thanking us for going to the Michigan BBQ, but we never went,” Solomon told the Georgia 247 site. “I do not know which recruit they were talking to, but it was not me. It was just a little heartbreaking, for me to supposedly be so high on their list, for them to confuse me with someone else. Plus they spelled both of my names wrong after I told them, but that was not the main issue. I guess they do not have tabs on me.”

Michigan currently has the No. 8 recruiting class for 2017, according to Scout. In addition to the Wolverines, Solomon plans on looking at Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, USC and Florida.
