Washington receiver Brayden Lenius has been suspended for the first three games of the season, Huskies coach Chris Petersen announced Monday.

Lenius was suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules. He will miss games against Rutgers, Idaho and Portland State.

“Brayden Lenius will not make a contribution the first three games. He is suspended for the first three games,” Petersen said. “We’ll see where he goes from there after those first three games.”

A junior, Lenius started six games for the Huskies last season. He recorded 26 receptions for 307 yards and three touchdowns.
