Two storied programs meet as college football season kicks off, with the Alabama Crimson Tide and USC Trojans meeting in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium to open their respective seasons.

The Trojans enter as a 12-point underdog and ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll. After an 8–6 season, now full-time head coach Clay Helton is set to lead USC through a difficult conference, and the team faces a stiff test Week 1 in a neutral-site matchup.

Alabama starts the year at No. 1 after winning last year’s College Football Playoff, and the Crimson Tide are aiming for another national title after finishing 14–1 last season. Nick Saban returns another loaded roster, and draws a USC defense that struggled mightily last season. The Crimson Tide have won their last four openers by an average of 20 points per game.
