Week 2 college football picks: Virginia Tech-Tennessee, Arkansas-TCU, more

SI's college football experts are split on who will win when Arkansas travels to TCU, but the majority says to expect Tennessee to beat Virginia Tech in the Battle at Bristol.

Week 1 produced some thrilling upsets, like Texas's victory over Notre Dame (predicted by three of our seven experts) and Wisconsin's win over LSU (predicted by none of our experts). Week 2's schedule is lighter on power-vs.-power matchups, but that just means there are more opportunities for shocking results that will reset what we think we know about the 2016 college football season.

Can Tennessee shake off a sloppy season-opening win over Appalachian State to beat Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway? Is USC set for more disappointment after its beatdown by Alabama or can the Trojans rebound against Utah State? Can TCU and Arkansas both improve from their ugly Week 1 performances when they meet in Fort Worth? And who will come out on top in intra-state rivalry games between Penn State and Pittsburgh and Utah and BYU? SI's college football experts Andy Staples, Pete Thamel, Lindsay Schnell, Brian Hamilton, Joan Niesen, Colin Becht and Gabriel Baumgaertner have made their picks for these marquee Week 2 showdowns and more.
