4:30 p.m.

A prosecutor says a former Utah State football player facing sexual assault charges has been arrested in his home state of California and will be extradited to Utah.

Cache County District Attorney James Swink said in a statement Thursday afternoon that 22-year-old Torrey Green was in custody.

Green faces four counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping all stemming from his time at Utah State from 2013 through 2016.

Green does not yet have a lawyer and his spokesman Zack Teperman had no comment.

Swink says the office investigated nine separate cases against Green.

The football player was dropped by the Atlanta Falcons in August after the prosecutor's investigation was made public.

A former Utah State football player who was dropped by the Atlanta Falcons in August over multiple sexual assault allegations has been charged with four counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.

The Herald Journal in Logan reported the charges Thursday (http://bit.ly/2dVJRrW ) against 22-year-old Torrey Green. The Cache County Attorney's Office this summer began re-reviewing sex assault allegations that multiple women made against Green from his time at Utah State.

The charges filed Thursday include allegations from 2013 through 2016.

Green does not yet have a lawyer. His spokesman, Zack Teperman, said he had no immediate comment on the charges Thursday.

After the county attorney's office confirmed the investigation in August, Teperman said Green believed he would be found innocent.
