(STATS) - With the Daytona Beach, Florida, area still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, Bethune-Cookman has moved its MEAC football game versus North Carolina A&T from Thursday to Saturday. Kickoff at Municipal Stadium is 1 p.m. ET.

The Bethune-Cookman campus is closed with classes expected to resume Thursday.

"In consultation with the City of Daytona Beach and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, we felt it best to move the date and time of the game to a time that is in the best interest of public safety, student welfare and the university," Bethune-Cookman athletic director Lynn W. Thompson said.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and replayed on ESPNU at 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday.

N.C. A&T and Bethune-Cookman were part of a three-way share of the MEAC title last year, but they have had decidedly different seasons. N.C. A&T, ranked 15th, is 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while Bethune-Cookman is 0-4 and 0-2.
