Baylor homecoming float rips school for sexual assault scandal
A group named the “NoZe Brotherhood” brought a float to Baylor’s homecoming parade which took a shot at the school for turning a blind eye to sexual assault.
The group, considered a “secret society” on campus, brought a rug and some brooms, showing how the school swept the scandal “under the rug.”
Then-coach Art Briles lost his job in wake of the scandal, in which an investigation found the university administration and football program failed to take action on incidents involving multiple Baylor football players. He was the only coach fired in the fallout of the events, officially parting ways with the school in June.
The 60-year-old brought in two players that were accused of sexual assault at Baylor in Sam Ukwuachu and Shawn Oakman, who were dismissed from their previous schools following off-field incidents.
