A Stanford field goal attempt bounced right off the top of the upright
No one thought this was possible.
Stanford lined up for a 45-yard field goal early in its game against Notre Dame and did something that not many had seen before.
Kicker Conrad Ukropina hooked a wobbler toward the left upright, which bounced squarely on top of it and up into the air.
It didn’t count. Those Irish and their good fortune.
