The top of the AP Top 25 remained largely the same when the new poll was released Sunday, with the exception of Ohio State’s tumble.

The Buckeyes lost to Penn State on Saturday night when the Nittany Lions returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown. As a result, OSU fell from No. 2 to No. 6.

The rival Michigan Wolverines slid up from No. 3 to Ohio State’s former No. 2 spot. Alabama retained its No. 1 ranking after a dominant win over Texas A&M. Clemson, Washington and Louisville round out the top five. A&M fell from No. 6 to No. 9.

Penn State was unranked before the Ohio State win but comes in at No. 24 this week. Colorado (No. 23) and Virginia Tech (No. 25) are also new to the Top 25 this week.

Auburn moves up from No. 21 to No. 15 after demolishing Arkansas, 56–3.
