Who's back: G Frank Mason III averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists last season; G Devonte Graham averaged 11.3 points and shot 44 percent from 3; F Landen Lucas averaged 5.8 points and team-leading 6.8 rebounds; G Svi Mykhailiuk; F Carlton Bragg Jr; G Lagerald Vick.

Who's new: G Josh Jackson is five-star prospect and was rated nation's No. 1 recruit by several services; C Udoka Azubuike is 6-foot-11, 270-pound five-star prospect originally from Nigeria; PF Mitch Lightfoot is 6-8 prospect who could redshirt this season.

The Skinny: The Jayhawks are aiming for their 13th straight Big 12 title, which would match UCLA for the longest streak in major college basketball. But with a solid mix of veterans and Jackson's premier talent, they may have the pieces to challenge for their first national championship since 2008.
