Week 10 college football picks: Alabama-LSU, Nebraska-Ohio State, more
The release of the first set of rankings from the College Football Playoff selection committee this week created plenty of controversy. Why did Texas A&M earn the No. 4 slot instead of Washington? Why is Penn State rated the nation's 12th best team? There’s nothing wrong with debating those questions now, but they don’t really matter all that much. The rankings will become more important as the regular season nears its end. The results of Week 10 should lead to some new questions. A panel of Sports Illustrated writers and editors (Andy Staples, Pete Thamel, Lindsay Schnell, Brian Hamilton, Joan Niesen, Colin Becht and Gabriel Baumgaertner) made its picks for every big game.
