Coastal Carolina to vote as a team Tuesday

(STATS) - Christ Community Church in Conway, South Carolina, will have some fairly large voters around 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

Coastal Carolina football coach Joe Moglia will be guiding his team to the voting booths on the day the United States elects a new president.

"Every one of our guys is going to vote Tuesday, and that's something I'm incredibly proud of," Moglia told the Sun News in Myrtle Beach. "The service academies do that. There's not going to be one other university football team in the nation that's going to do that, and you know every one of them probably should do that."

More than 100 players are taking part in the voting process. Some have voted already through absentee ballots, but they will accompany their teammates to the polling station.

Coastal Carolina (7-2), ranked 15th in the STATS FCS Top 25, will host Bryant on Saturday as the Chanticleers continue to wind down their final season on the FCS level. They will play be a Sun Belt member on the FBS level beginning next season.
