Nigel Hayes continues protest behind teammates during national anthem

Nigel Hayes continued his protest during the national anthem.

Wisconsin Badgers star Nigel Hayes and teammate Jordan Hill stood one step back from their teammates while the national anthem was played before Friday night's game against Central Arkansas.

Hayes stands in protest of a racial incident that took place during a football game at Camp Randall Stadium in which two Wisconsin fans wore Halloween costumes. They were dressed as President Barack Obama with a noose around his neck. The fan removed the noose and was not asked to leave the game. The unviersity later issued a statement saying that it respected "free speech."

Hayes took to Twitter to post a response to the way the university handled the incident.
