Four Purdue football players have been accused of sexual assault by two female Purdue University students, reports the Indianapolis Star.

A news release from Massillamany & Jeter LLP, a Fishers, Indiana-based law firm that represents the students, made the announcement on Wednesday.

The release did not identify any of the players, but did say the alleged assault took place on Oct. 13 at an off-campus residence. The women also reported the alleged assault to school officials and the West Lafayette, Ind. Police Department.

None of the players have been arrested or charged with any crime.

"School officials must move quickly to hold these players accountable for their actions and show these victims that their voices are being heard,” attorney Mario Massillamany said. “If there are others out there who have been victimized in this manner, we encourage them to contact us to get the justice they deserve."

Massillamany said that the school should expel the players and added those players have already been suspended from the football team.

According to Fox 59, at least three of the unidentified accused players have criminal records. One was charged with battery involving serious bodily injury, another faced theft charges and a third was charged with possession of marijuana.

No one from Purdue's administration or athletic department has commented on the case.
