CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday he spoke with his players about South Carolina linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams' contention a Tigers offensive lineman used a racial slur during warmups before Saturday night's 56-7 victory.

Allen-Williams said afterward he couldn't identify the Clemson player. When Swinney heard Allen-Williams' comments, he asked his player and all told him it was false. ''I believe my guys,'' Swinney said. ''That's all there is to say about it.''

The two teams got involved in a brief scrum while on the field about 90 minutes before kickoff. South Carolina defensive end Dante Sawyer said on Twitter it was Clemson fans using racial slurs. Sawyer also said Tigers center Jay Guillermo reached out to him after the game to ease tensions and ''received all my respect.''
