Five-star recruit Mitchell Robinson announced via Twitter that he was de-committing from Western Kentucky, but he was actually hacked and still intends to attend the university, according to the WKU Herald.
“Talked to his dad, there’s nothing to it,” head coach Rick Stansbury said. “He said somebody hacked in the account. So that’s what we were told. I haven’t talked to the kid, but the dad knows what’s going on. We don’t see no problems. He signed, so he can’t de-commit. His dad said there’s no concerns.”
Robinson tweeted and later deleted a post that said, ““After careful consideration, I have decided to DECOMMIT from the University of Western Kentucky and explore my options this only happens once.”
As a junior at Florida's Chalmette High School, Robinsn averaged 19.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and 7.9 blocks per game.
He is ranked No. 6 in the class of 2016, according to Scout.com.
