NOTABLE

Virginia Tech: The 18th-ranked Hokies won the ACC Coastal Division in the first year of the post-Frank Beamer era. They won five of six entering the league title game before losing to Clemson when their late rally was stopped by the playoff-bound Tigers.

Arkansas: The Razorbacks epitomized inconsistency this season, with a 21-point rout of SEC East champ Florida sandwiched between losses to Auburn and LSU in which they were outscored 94-13.
