Prospect of the week: CeeDee Lamb

The Oklahoma Sooners commit from Richmond (Texas) Foster capped a steller high school career with an historic senior season as he caught 98 passes for 2,032 yards and 33 touchdowns on 20.7 yards per reception. He also ran four times for 35 yards. Lamb's 33 touchdown catches are the second-most in a single season in Texas high school football history. He's the fourth receiver in TXHSFB history eclipse the 2,000-yard mark in a season. Lamb helped Foster to a 14-1 record and Texas Class 5A D-I state semifinal appearance.

Prospect on the rise: Thabo Mwaniki

The Oklahoma State Cowboys commit had a really big week on the recruiting trail adding new offers from schools like BaylorTCU, and UCLA. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder played both sides of the ball for Denton Guyer at the Texas Class 6A level and is rated as a three-star athlete. He's expected to play in the secondary in college. He recorded 64 tackles, one interception, and nine pass breakups in 2016.

Commit of the week: Noah Daniels

The three-star cornerback from League City (Texas) Clear Creek committed to TCU. The Frogs beat out schools such as Oklahoma, Utah, Arkansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech for his services. The Frogs jumped into Daniels’ recruitment in October, when rumors started to surface the three-star corner was waffling on his Baylor commitment. "I feel as though I am a great fit in their defense," Daniels said.

Commit watch: Walker Little

Scout five-star Walker Little, a 6-foot-8, 301 pound offensive tackle from Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal will be making his final decision on Friday December 16th. He has offers from coast-to-coast, but the decision will come down to Ole Miss, Stanford, or Texas in the Big 12 Conference.

Conference recruiting storyline: Iowa State

Iowa State has taken a national approach to recruiting and has been mining for talent under every rock in every state in the country and the hard-working approach is paying huge dividends as ISU currently has its best class of recruits in the Scout era. The Cyclones currently sit in third in the Big 12 Team Recruiting Rankings. The highest it has finished in the Big 12 in the last 10 years is seventh.
