Colorado School of Mines quarterback Justin Dvorak has won the Harlon Hill Trophy, given to the top player in Division II.

Dvorak, who is from Tomball, Texas, passed for 4,584 yards and 53 touchdowns and ran for another eight scores. He helped the Orediggers (10-3) win the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and reach the second round of the NCAA playoffs.

The senior received 185 points in a vote of Division II sports information directors to beat Northwest Missouri State quarterback Kyle Zimmerman (113 points). North Alabama quarterback Jacob Tucker was third (84).

Dvorak is the second Hill Trophy winner from the Colorado Mines, joining quarterback Chad Friehauf in 2004. It is the fourth time since 2006 an RMAC player won the Hill. Chadron State's Danny Woodhead won it in 2006 and `07.
