LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Kentucky says freshman guard De'Aaron Fox will not play for the 11th-ranked Wildcats in Saturday's Southeastern Conference showdown against No. 13 Florida because of a knee contusion.

Kentucky coach John Calipari said Friday that Fox's availability would be a game-time decision because of the injury sustained in Tuesday night's win at Missouri. The Wildcats' second-leading scorer (15.5 points per game) participated in pregame warmups but came back for the start of the game in street clothes. Fox missed a game last month against Georgia because of illness.

Senior guard Mychal Mulder started for Kentucky in Fox's place against the Gators in the pivotal contest between teams with identical records of 23-5 overall and 13-2 in the SEC. The winner takes sole possession of first place.
