(STATS) - After rebounding with a winning season, Wagner has set its sights on winning the 2017 Northeast Conference championship.

Wagner, which won only once in 2015 before finishing 6-5 last season - 4-2 in the NEC - will play five home games as part of its 11-game schedule.

Coach Jason Houghtaling's Seahawks will host Saint Anselm (Aug. 31) and defending Patriot League champ Lehigh (Sept. 30) out of conference, and Central Connecticut (Oct. 14), Bryant (Oct. 28) and Robert Morris (Nov. 4) in the NEC.

The Seahawks face difficult road games against Mid-American Conference champ Western Michigan (Sept. 23), Stony Brook (Nov. 11) from CAA Football and 2016 NEC co-champs Saint Francis (Sept. 9) and Duquesne (Oct. 7). In addition, they will visit Columbia (Sept. 16) and NEC member Sacred Heart (Nov. 18).

Wagner is expected to return eight starters on each side of the ball.
