Princeton, Harvard are Ivy League co-favorites

(STATS) - Princeton and Harvard were installed as co-favorites in the Ivy League football preseason media poll Tuesday, and rival Penn was not far behind.

Princeton and Harvard tied with 120 points, although Princeton's six first-place votes were one more than Harvard. Penn gained five first-place votes and 110 points.

Penn is a two-time defending champion, sharing last year's title with Princeton and the 2015 crown with Harvard.

Yale was fourth in the poll followed by Dartmouth, Brown (one first-place vote), Columbia and Cornell.

The tie atop the poll was the third in the history of the poll and the first since 2008.
