Report: LiAngelo Ball, UCLA Players Released on Bail After Shoplifting Arrest

LiAngelo Ball, two other UCLA players are reportedly out on bail after shoplifting arrest

Three UCLA freshman men's basketball players were released on bail Wednesday morning in Hangzhou, China, after being arrested for allegedly shoplifting, reports ESPN.com's Arash Markazi.

LiAngelo Ball, the younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, were arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly stealing from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team's hotel in Hangzhou.

The Bruins are in China to play Georgia Tech in their season opener on Friday.

"The players were treated with the utmost respect, kindness and professionalism at all times by the Hangzhou police," a source told ESPN.com "The players questioned were respectful at all times. None of this was confrontational."

According to the report, all three players were released around 4 a.m. Wednesday and will be required to stay at a hotel until their legal situation is cleared up.

"We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China," UCLA said in a statement. "The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time."
