Four-Star WR Puka Nacua Signs With Washington After Backing Off USC Commitment

USC loses another commit as four-star wide receiver Puka Nacua signs with Washington.

Former USC recruit Puka Nacua announced Sunday that he would be attending the University of Washington.

Nacua, a four-star wide receiver from Utah, initally committed to USC in June, but also had interest in Utah, Oregon, UCLA and BYU, and declined to send in his national letter of intent on National Signing Day last Wednesday.

Utah's No. 1 recruit, Nacua had 103 catches for 2,336 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior from Orem High School.

The loss of Nacua for USC ends an unsettling offseason where they lost four-star wide receiver Bru McCoy, as he transferred to Texas after offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury was hired to be the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, USC now has the No. 20 recruting class in 2019, marking the lowest ranking the school has received since the 2001 cycke.

The Huskies have the 15th ranked recruiting class, securing 23 commits.
