A huge matchup in the Pac-12 South division is set to take place when the Arizona State Sun Devils descend on Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes. With both teams tied for the best record in the division, this tilt could go a long way toward deciding which squad will represent the South in the Pac-12 Championship Game upon the completion of the regular season.

Arizona State completed an impressive comeback to defeat the Washington State Cougars in their last game, with the Sun Devils outscoring Washington State 14-3 in the final quarter to earn a 38-34 win. Averaging just over 25 points per game on the season, the Sun Devils offense stepped up in that game and will need to step up again to get the better of a Utah defense whose pass rush typically creates problems for their opponents.

Utah’s last game was no sweat, as they handled Oregon State from start to finish in a 52-7 mauling. The Utes held Oregon State to 217 total yards for the game, with the Beavers failing to score until there were 56 seconds remaining in the game. On offense, running back Zack Moss lit up the Beavers for 121 rushing yards in just five carries to pace the Utes. Arizona State should make things more difficult on both sides of the ball for Utah this week, as both teams have everything to play for in the conference.
