The Hawkeyes passing attack (246.9 YPG) is averaging nearly 50 more yards than the Badgers. Quarterback Nate Stanley has thrown for 10 touchdowns this season and accumulated 1,950 total yards. Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan is right behind him with 10 touchdown passes and has thrown for 1,489 yards. Amazingly, he's completed 73% of his passes in conference games but has only three touchdowns and two interceptions in those five games.

Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor will be ready to break out after his lowest output of the season (52 yards) against Ohio State and a bye week. The offense is focused so much around him that it has struggled in recent weeks without his big plays. Iowa's run defense is the eighth-best in FBS, allowing 87.8 yards per game. Even with the recent drop off for Taylor, Wisconsin is still averaging 216.4 rushing yards per game, while Iowa is at 145.8 YPG.

The Hawkeyes defense has stepped up in Big Ten play, shutting out four of their last 11 conference opponents. That was the case last weekend against Northwestern in a 20–0 win over the Wildcats.
