A student photographer was carted off the field after being hit on the sidelines during Auburn's game against Georgia on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Late in the second quarter, Georgia running back Brian Herrien was running toward the end zone and collided with the photographer after going out of bounds. He could not stop in time and his knee hit her head. The photographer, later identified as Chamberlain Smith, immediately fell to the ground. CBS's Jamie Erdahl reported Smith is a student at Georgia and interns with the school's athletic department.

The medical team quickly rushed to Smith's assistance as she remained motionless on the turf. The photographer was conscious and talking with the medical staff when they placed her in a neck brace and put her on a stretcher to cart her off the field.

CBS confirmed Smith was taken to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment and had a bruise on her right eye. The University of Georgia announced Smith was released from the hospital later that night. Herrien was upset about the accident at halftime and said a prayer for her with Jake Fromm in the locker room.

Smith regained movement in all extremities and was checked for an orbital fracture and a concussion, Radi Nabulsi reported prior to the photographer's release from the hospital.

Georgia finished the game with a 21-14 win over the Tigers.
