Iowa star Caitlin Clark added another NIL deal to her resume as she became the fourth collegiate athlete to sign with Gatorade.

The announcement was made Tuesday with a video titled “You Can Too.” Clark narrates the video, which opens with clips of her playing basketball as a kid.

“I’m still that girl from Iowa, but now, it’s my turn to inspire. If I can drop 40, you can drop 50. If we can draw 56,000 fans, you can draw 57. If I can sign with Gatorade, you can too.”

On top of the NIL deal, Gatorade will also donate $22,000 to the Caitlin Clark Foundation. The number is in reference to her jersey number at Iowa. The Foundation states that its mission is to “uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sport.”

Clark joins another college women’s basketball star, UConn’s Paige Bueckers, on the Gatorade team. The other two collegiate athletes signed with Gatorade include Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Penn State running back Nick Singleton.

This deal comes full circle for Clark as the 21-year-old was named the Iowa women’s basketball Gatorade Player of the Year in 2019 and ‘20 while she was in high school.

Gatorade is just one of many big companies Clark signed with. She recently became the first collegiate athlete to partner with State Farm. She also has deals with Nike and Hy-Vee.

Clark recently made college basketball history when she became the first player, men’s or women’s, in NCAA Division I to record 3,000 points along with at least 750 rebounds and 750 assists.
