Texas QB Arch Manning Will Not Opt Into EA Sports College Football 25, per Report

Texas quarterback Arch Manning has opted not to allow EA Sports College Football 25 to use his name, image and likeness, according to Rivals team reporter Anwar Richardson.

The decision would mean that the rising sophomore will not be featured in the return of the popular video game, which has received over 10,000 opt-ins from players as of this past weekend, according to ESPN.

Players who opt-in, allowing the game to use their likeness, receive $600 and a copy of the game. The number of players who agreed thus far was reportedly 87% of the game’s target goal. Among the many noteworthy players who have chosen to be part of the game is Manning’s teammate and fellow signal-caller, Quinn Ewers.

Manning, the nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, was ranked the No. 5 overall prospect in ESPN’s recruiting database for 2023. He played in just one game as a freshman for Texas, completing 2-of-5 passes for 30 yards and rushing three times for seven yards.
