College Hoops Fans Crushed ESPN’s Jim Boeheim for ‘Miserable’ Rant During NC State-Louisville Game

In this story:
Former Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim has been calling games this season for ESPN, and this week he’s doing it in a familiar environment—the men’s ACC tournament, which is being held in Washington, D.C.
Boeheim angered a lot of fans during Tuesday night’s Louisville-NC State first-round game when he took a shot at a Wolfpack player for having some fun while celebrating a teammate’s big play.
Boeheim, a Hall of Famer who coached at Syracuse for 47 years, went off on a bizarre rant about NC State’s recent history after seeing this moment during the second half of the game, which the Wolfpack won, 94–85.
"I don't know why anybody that's got the recent history of these guys is celebrating." - Jim Boeheim 🏀🎙️💀

Fans were not impressed:
It took us forever to get Boeheim off the sideline. Why did we need him calling games…… What a miserable human being https://t.co/699nk8Ntcm

Who thought putting Jim on TV was a good idea? What a miserable grouch. https://t.co/W3I01sMU0n

Maybe because they enjoy playing a college sport. Maybe because they enjoy being in an ACC tournament, no matter where it’s played. Maybe because the guys came together through the noise and without their leading scorer.

This from the league’s network?? 🤷🏼♂️ https://t.co/8GgDvbtHTR
"We prolly won 8 or 9 games in a row."

Yeeeeeah, okay. Boeheim couldn't pass muster in this league. He should save the jokes for an audience that's interested in being condescended to https://t.co/UOPqFElwTZ pic.twitter.com/IQmhZ54HI6
Boeheim's a clown who had to be forced out. He refused to step down after he was fired. He adds no value to the cast, as I listen to Cory Alexander morph into Tony Romo. https://t.co/U6Qd6vueCG

Ahhh yes, let's not forget the recent success of Syracuse...... https://t.co/OYjW1jrrsk
