Dylan Edwards, Colorado's Leading Rusher in 2023, Reportedly Enters Transfer Portal

One of the stars of Colorado's early 2023 success appears headed for the exits. Buffaloes running back Dylan Edwards is entering the transfer portal, according to a Tuesday morning report from Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
In 2023, Edwards carried the ball 76 times for 321 yards and a touchdown. In addition to leading the team in rushing, the Derby, Kan. native and former four-star recruit caught 36 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns.
His star turn came in Colorado's season opener, against a TCU team ranked No. 17 in the nation. In that contest, Edwards caught five passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns to go with a score on the ground.

The Buffaloes carried that 45-42 win—along with early victories over Nebraska and Colorado State—to an unusual degree of cultural notoriety, but quickly fell to Earth and finished 4-8.
Colorado opens its 2024 season on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State.
