CBS Sports Names Dontay Corleone, Brendan Sorsby to Annual Top-150 CFB Players List

Sensible spots for these two players.

CINCINNATI — A pair of Bearcats made CBS Sports's annual ranking of the top 150 players in college football. Defensive tackle Dontay Corleone was the top-ranked player for UC at No. 92 overall.

"Strong base defender who excels vs. the run," Blake Brockermeyer wrote. "Has the power to anchor and control gaps,but is often misused in stunt-heavy schemes that limit his impact. Pass rush still developing. Solid NFL traits, though production hasn't matched the hype."

Brendan Sorsby joined Corleone on the list at No. 140 overall.

Dual-threat QB who accounted for 27 total TDs in his first year as a starter," Brockermeyer wrote. "Completed 64%, rushed for 447 yards, and throws well vs. man coverage, especially on intermediate routes. Needs to improve decision-making and ball security, but offers strong upside."

It's a strong gauge of two players that figure to lead their sides of the ball this fall. If they can elevate higher than these rankings suggest, then UC should go bowling for the first time under head coach Scott Satterfield.
