Hello world, I’m excited to announce that I’ve officially committed to the University of Connecticut!

I’m so excited to be a Husky!

Overall, the coaching staff and the program was just the best fit for me out of all of the schools. They always stuck out to me and it always meant a lot to me that they prioritized me.

Coach (Dan) Hurley and my dad played against each other back in the day, so there were ties there. Being from Jersey, coach has that dog in him and I’ve got that dog in me, so we connected immediately.

It was pretty cool how I told him I was coming.

During Christmas, my family from California came down and I felt it was the right setting to announce to the staff that I was committing, so we got on a Zoom call.

At first, they were about to do their pitches, but then I stopped them and told them I was coming. Coach Hurley and Coach Kimani (Young) jumped up and ran out of the screen! Haha!

It was pretty cool to see them so excited.

I will say that COVID definitely made the process so much more difficult.

I wasn’t able to get on campus, but the coaches did a great job of showing me what life would feel like being on campus. They did great Zooms and I fell in love with UConn.

Their plan is for me to just come in and do what James Bouknight is doing right now, being a scorer on the team. Also, creating for my teammates and making plays.

Right now, I’m looking to bring Donovan Clingan with me. I feel like we’d win a lot of games with him in the class, so I’ll be working on that.

OK guys, that’s all I’ve got. I just wanted to give you more insight on my process. Hopefully, you guys will stay tuned for me in the future!

Go Huskies!
