If it weren’t for Ohio State defensive end Chase Young, Iowa’s A.J. Espenesa would be more of a household name outside of the Big Ten. The star defensive end for the Hawkeyes has officially declared for the 2020 Draft. He’s projected by many as a first-round pick after an incredible career at Iowa. He earned Freshman All-Big Ten Honors in 2017, and was named First-Team All Big-Ten in 2018 and 2019. As he gears up for the NFL, there is not a chance that Espenesa’s future isn’t shining bright.
