Reggie Bush Will Be Welcomed Back at USC

Legendary USC running back Reggie Bush was disassociated from the university as punishment for "impermissible benefits" he received during his time at USC. Bush was also stripped of his Heisman Trophy he won while at USC, this was also a punishment grouped among other sanctions the NCAA held against the school. Bush announced his retirement from the NFL in 2017. SI senior writer Pat Forde shares more on Bush and the disassociation being removed.
Pat Forde: The reports that Reggie Bush will be welcome back at USC, and that's news this week out of Los Angeles. The former all-time great Trojans tailback who won and then was stripped of the Heisman Trophy was part of a major scandal that led to significant sanctions against the school. Will be welcomed back at USC after a 10-year disassociation that was part of the NCAA punishment for Bush, who accepted a an array of impermissible benefits during his time as a Trojan that led to some postseason bans and other issues from four USC football. And frankly, the Trojans never fully recovered from all of that. But it's time after 10 years for Reggie Bush to be welcomed back. Time for USC to move on to both be able to maintain touch with its glory days from earlier this century. But to be able to move on with Reggie Bush as a proud alum could be on the sidelines, be at practice, be part of the whole scene for USC football going forward.
