Clemson Remains at Number One in the AP Top 25 College Football Rankings

AP’s Top 25 is out and Clemson remains in the Number 1 spot over Alabama for a record 7 weeks now. The Tigers faced Georgia tech on Saturday and had a historic blowout beating the Yellow Jackets 73-7. The 66-point sting was the largest ever in an Atlantic Coast Conference football game. After the win Clemson received an overwhelming 54 first-place votes out of 62.

In a huge SEC matchup No 2 Alabama dominated the second half beating Georgia 41-24 and getting their 6th consecutive win against the bulldogs. The Crimson Tide received the remaining 8 first-place votes- keeping them in the No. 2 spot. Notre Dame has moved up to no. 3, the highest the Fighting Irish have been ranked this season. Georgia who after  their loss to Alabama dropped one spot to number 4 and Ohio State has moved up to No. 5. After a los to FSU on Saturday North Carolina took a big fall, dropping nine spots to No. 14.

Oklahoma State is ranked in the number 6 spot-with Texas A&M, Penn State, Cincinnati and Florida rounding out the top 10.
